Web Map Web Page
Project Information
I developed a responsive and thematically styled web page centered on Museums of Nova Scotia. The project involved building a well-structured HTML document with CSS styling to create a clean, accessible layout that visually supported the dataset’s subject matter. Key design considerations included semantic HTML structure, clear content hierarchy, accessible fonts, and cohesive visual styling. A Leaflet web map was embedded directly into the page, featuring custom markers with marker clustering for enhanced usability, interactive pop-ups that display relevant dataset attributes, and Leaflet plugins to improve functionality and user experience. I also customized map elements to align with the overall aesthetic and ensured the interface was responsive across devices. All code was clearly commented, error-checked, and organized into a logical folder structure. The page also included properly formatted citations, external links, and a styled footer with responsive navigation features.
